• Not necessarily.

Some clients begin coaching with a very specific challenge in mind. Others simply sense that something in their professional situation deserves deeper reflection.

In many cases, part of the early work in coaching is clarifying what the most meaningful focus should be.

A coaching conversation can help surface what truly deserves attention and what might be driving the situation beneath the surface.

  • No.

Executive coaching and psychotherapy serve different purposes.

Psychotherapy typically focuses on psychological health and the treatment of emotional or mental difficulties. It is intended to support people in working through distress, patterns rooted in earlier life experiences, or challenges that significantly affect well-being.

Executive coaching, by contrast, focuses on professional situations and leadership challenges — such as navigating complex decisions, reflecting on leadership patterns, or preparing for transitions and responsibilities in professional roles.

While coaching conversations may touch on personal perspectives, values, or behavioral patterns, the focus remains on professional contexts and future-oriented development rather than psychological treatment.

If a situation arises that would be better addressed in a therapeutic setting, I encourage my clients to seek support from their healthcare provider. My coaching practice does not provide psychotherapy or clinical psychological treatment.

  • Confidentiality is a core foundation of the coaching relationship.

Everything discussed in our conversations remains strictly confidential unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

This creates the safety necessary to explore complex situations openly and honestly.

  • Coaching works best when there is a sense of trust, openness, and resonance.

The best way to explore this is through an initial conversation.

In this call, we can briefly discuss the situation you are currently navigating and consider whether coaching would provide a helpful space for you.

Equally important, it allows both of us to sense whether the coaching relationship would be a good fit.

There is no obligation to continue beyond this conversation.
